Dipon Mondal, Ph.D.

Dipon is a 4th year post-doctoral fellow in Dr. Iozzo's lab. He completed his PhD in the pathogenesis of the disease leishmaniasis from the Dept. of Biological Sciences, IISER Kolkata. In the Iozzo lab, he is interested in the role of decorin in cancer metastasis and lymphangiogenic processes. Being a travel freak, Dipon always looks for new travel destinations on the weekends. He is crazy about sports like soccer, cricket, tennis, or whichever comes to your mind. In his free time, he loves to watch movies, listen to songs and cook delicious food.

Christopher Xie, B.S.

Chris is 2nd year MD student at Thomas Jefferson University working in Dr. Iozzo's lab. He completed a summer internship in the lab in 2019 and decided to join the lab after finishing his degree at Haverford College in the class of 2020. Chris is working on the decorin project in which he is investigating the effect of decorin on tumor growth, metastases, and protein signaling with in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models.

Gabriel Pascal, B.S.

Gabe is a research assistant in Dr. Iozzo's lab. He joined the Iozzo lab in 2023. He graduated from Haverford College in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Gabe intends to matriculate into medical school in 2025. Gabe is focusing on projects related to lymphangiogenesis, autophagy, and leveraging "-omics" based approaches to these topics of study.

Sadie Kim, B.S.

Sadie is a post-bachelor research technician in Dr. Iozzo's lab. She joined the lab after finishing her degree at Haverford College in 2024, majoring in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry. She is currently studying the effects of decorin on lymphangiogenesis and autophagy. Sadie is an aspiring M.D. student. She is excited and thankful to be mentored under Dr. Iozzo during her gap-year research.
